David Chakoian has been practicing family medicine and hospital medicine for 36 years. He has considerable experience in primary- care psychiatry including working as a prescriber at Center Point, the country’s first behavioral-health co-op. Now retired from his family practice clinic, he is following his passion for treating the deep wounds so many of us walk around with, and his passion for medical justice. A practicing Quaker, he believes that we are whole, integrated beings and that healing requires openness to something deeper than our material world.
